Day, Evening and Virtual IOP for Franklin Lakes Residents

Our intensive outpatient program meets three to four times a week for about three hours per session, usually for eight to twelve weeks. Choose a day track, an evening track, or virtual IOP from home. If you need more support at the start, partial care offers several hours of treatment a day, and our outpatient program and aftercare follow IOP as sessions taper off.

How Treatment Works

IOP combines group therapy, individual therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing, with family therapy included. For opioid or alcohol use disorder, medication-assisted treatment with buprenorphine or naltrexone can be part of your plan. Our dual diagnosis care treats anxiety, depression and trauma at the same time as the addiction.

What to Look for in an Outpatient Rehab Near Franklin Lakes

If you are comparing outpatient programs, these questions can help:

  • Who provides the care? Look for licensed clinicians and a program led by a credentialed clinical director.
  • Is there more than one level of care? A program with partial care, IOP, outpatient care and aftercare can adjust as your needs change, so you do not have to start over somewhere new.
  • Is medication available? For opioid or alcohol use disorder, ask whether medication-assisted treatment is offered on site. We prescribe buprenorphine and naltrexone in our office.
  • Is mental health part of the plan? Anxiety, depression and trauma should be treated alongside the addiction.
  • Do the hours fit your life? Day, evening and virtual options make it easier to finish treatment.
  • Will you know the cost first? You should know what you will pay before your first session.

Accreditation and Certification

The Hope Institute meets those standards. We are accredited by The Joint Commission, licensed by the State of New Jersey and LegitScript certified, and our patients rate us 4.9 stars across more than 140 Google reviews.

The Hope Institute has truly changed my life. Walking through these doors was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but it quickly became clear that I was exactly where I needed to be. The staff here is extraordinary. Every counselor, therapist, nurse, tech, and support staff member genuinely cares about the people they’re serving. They don’t treat you like a number or a diagnosis. They treat you like a person worthy of recovery, respect, and hope. I especially want to recognize Carrie, the director. She is the kind of leader every treatment center should have. I’ve watched her advocate tirelessly for the people here, making sure each person gets the care, resources, and support they need. She is incredibly approachable, down to earth, and always willing to stop what she’s doing to listen. It’s obvious that this isn’t just a job for her. She has created a culture where everyone feels valued, safe, and cared for. Her leadership sets the tone for the entire program, and you can see its impact in every corner of the Hope Institute. The program itself is outstanding. It challenges you to be honest with yourself while giving you the tools to build a lasting recovery. Every group, every therapy session, and every conversation has helped me grow. Recovery isn’t easy, but the Hope Institute has created an environment where healing feels possible. The houses are clean, comfortable, and welcoming. They feel like homes, not institutions. That sense of comfort makes it easier to focus on the real work of recovery. What has surprised me the most is the community. The people here have become some of the biggest sources of encouragement in my life. I’ve laughed, cried, learned, and grown alongside people who understand exactly what this journey feels like. There is something incredibly powerful about recovering together. I came here feeling broken and overwhelmed by addiction. I’m leaving with hope, purpose, and confidence that I can build a better life. The Hope Institute didn’t just help me get sober. It helped me rediscover the person I was always meant to be. If you’re considering treatment for yourself or someone you love, I cannot recommend the Hope Institute highly enough. This place saves lives, and I will always be grateful that it helped save mine.

The Hope Institute changed my life; their program didn’t just help me to stay clean, it also helped me work towards who I want to be, it taught me how to live, how to feel, and how to believe that recovery is possible. The staff are incredible, compassionate, knowledgeable, patient, and committed to helping people heal. Every clinician, tech, and support staff member made sure I felt safe, understood, and respected. I learned tools that I use every day, and for the first time, recovery feels sustainable. The environment is welcoming, clean, and calm. My therapist Jillian listened without judgment, challenged me when I needed it, and supported me when I felt like giving up. This place gave me hope when I had none and saved my life in ways I’ll never fully be able to put into words. I am forever grateful for the guidance, honesty, community, and hope I found here

Jason Krail from the Hope institute was a breath of fresh air. He helped me and my family with so many things especially with mental health. Still to this day I keep in contact with Jason. His experience himself with drug addiction, mental health, and his beautiful journey through life gives me and a lot of people that I know proof that recovery works! I highly recommend The Hope Institute. 👏🏻

Jason Krail is truly exceptional at what he does. His compassion, professionalism, and genuine commitment to people in recovery make a real difference. Jason has a rare ability to meet people where they are, listen without judgment, and provide guidance that feels both supportive and empowering. You can tell he deeply cares about long-term recovery, not just checking boxes. Anyone working with Jason or being guided by him is in incredibly capable hands. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

The Hope Institute truly lives up to its name. They help people recover by creating a safe, supportive, and genuinely positive environment. What really stands out is how welcoming and family-like it feels for both the clients and the staff. You can really see the impact they make on people who come in for the first time feeling scared or confused. Over time, those same individuals begin to open up, come out of their shell, and actively participate in their recovery. That kind of growth speaks volumes about the care, patience, and compassion shown here. Everyone is treated with respect and understanding, and there’s a strong sense of community throughout the program. Recovery here feels hopeful, empowering, and uplifting. I’m truly grateful for the environment they’ve created.

Franklin Lakes Outpatient Rehab FAQs

Is there an outpatient drug rehab near Franklin Lakes, NJ?

Yes. The Hope Institute offers outpatient drug and alcohol rehab at 179 Cahill Cross Road in West Milford, about 27 minutes from Franklin Lakes Borough Hall. Day, evening and virtual IOP tracks are available.

Yes. Substance use treatment records are protected by federal confidentiality rules, and we do not share information about your care without your written consent, except where the law requires it. Outpatient care also means you do not need an extended absence from work.

Most commercial plans cover intensive outpatient and partial care, including plans from Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Humana. We verify your benefits, usually in about 15 minutes, before you start.

Many people describe feeling clearer, more stable and more hopeful, along with some nervousness about handling stress and triggers without the structure of treatment. That is why our program steps down gradually from IOP to outpatient care and aftercare, so support continues while you adjust.

There is currently no FDA-approved medication for methamphetamine addiction, so treatment centers on behavioral therapy. Cognitive behavioral therapy, group therapy and relapse prevention help you manage cravings and avoid the people and situations tied to use. Our outpatient program treats meth addiction on a day, evening or virtual schedule.
