IOP and Outpatient Rehab for Rockaway Residents

Our intensive outpatient program meets three to four times a week for about three hours per session, usually for eight to twelve weeks. The day track works if you have evening commitments, and the evening track works if you cannot leave work during the day. Virtual IOP runs the same sessions by secure video.

Partial care is available if you need more daily structure, and our outpatient program and aftercare keep you supported as sessions become less frequent.

The Hope Institute has truly changed my life. Walking through these doors was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but it quickly became clear that I was exactly where I needed to be. The staff here is extraordinary. Every counselor, therapist, nurse, tech, and support staff member genuinely cares about the people they’re serving. They don’t treat you like a number or a diagnosis. They treat you like a person worthy of recovery, respect, and hope. I especially want to recognize Carrie, the director. She is the kind of leader every treatment center should have. I’ve watched her advocate tirelessly for the people here, making sure each person gets the care, resources, and support they need. She is incredibly approachable, down to earth, and always willing to stop what she’s doing to listen. It’s obvious that this isn’t just a job for her. She has created a culture where everyone feels valued, safe, and cared for. Her leadership sets the tone for the entire program, and you can see its impact in every corner of the Hope Institute. The program itself is outstanding. It challenges you to be honest with yourself while giving you the tools to build a lasting recovery. Every group, every therapy session, and every conversation has helped me grow. Recovery isn’t easy, but the Hope Institute has created an environment where healing feels possible. The houses are clean, comfortable, and welcoming. They feel like homes, not institutions. That sense of comfort makes it easier to focus on the real work of recovery. What has surprised me the most is the community. The people here have become some of the biggest sources of encouragement in my life. I’ve laughed, cried, learned, and grown alongside people who understand exactly what this journey feels like. There is something incredibly powerful about recovering together. I came here feeling broken and overwhelmed by addiction. I’m leaving with hope, purpose, and confidence that I can build a better life. The Hope Institute didn’t just help me get sober. It helped me rediscover the person I was always meant to be. If you’re considering treatment for yourself or someone you love, I cannot recommend the Hope Institute highly enough. This place saves lives, and I will always be grateful that it helped save mine.

The Hope Institute changed my life; their program didn’t just help me to stay clean, it also helped me work towards who I want to be, it taught me how to live, how to feel, and how to believe that recovery is possible. The staff are incredible, compassionate, knowledgeable, patient, and committed to helping people heal. Every clinician, tech, and support staff member made sure I felt safe, understood, and respected. I learned tools that I use every day, and for the first time, recovery feels sustainable. The environment is welcoming, clean, and calm. My therapist Jillian listened without judgment, challenged me when I needed it, and supported me when I felt like giving up. This place gave me hope when I had none and saved my life in ways I’ll never fully be able to put into words. I am forever grateful for the guidance, honesty, community, and hope I found here

Jason Krail from the Hope institute was a breath of fresh air. He helped me and my family with so many things especially with mental health. Still to this day I keep in contact with Jason. His experience himself with drug addiction, mental health, and his beautiful journey through life gives me and a lot of people that I know proof that recovery works! I highly recommend The Hope Institute. 👏🏻

Jason Krail is truly exceptional at what he does. His compassion, professionalism, and genuine commitment to people in recovery make a real difference. Jason has a rare ability to meet people where they are, listen without judgment, and provide guidance that feels both supportive and empowering. You can tell he deeply cares about long-term recovery, not just checking boxes. Anyone working with Jason or being guided by him is in incredibly capable hands. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

The Hope Institute truly lives up to its name. They help people recover by creating a safe, supportive, and genuinely positive environment. What really stands out is how welcoming and family-like it feels for both the clients and the staff. You can really see the impact they make on people who come in for the first time feeling scared or confused. Over time, those same individuals begin to open up, come out of their shell, and actively participate in their recovery. That kind of growth speaks volumes about the care, patience, and compassion shown here. Everyone is treated with respect and understanding, and there’s a strong sense of community throughout the program. Recovery here feels hopeful, empowering, and uplifting. I’m truly grateful for the environment they’ve created.

Rockaway Drug and Alcohol Rehab FAQs

Is there an IOP near Rockaway, NJ?

Yes. The Hope Institute runs an intensive outpatient program at 179 Cahill Cross Road in West Milford, about 35 minutes from Rockaway Borough via Green Pond Road. Day, evening and virtual tracks are available.

We work with TRICARE, and our admissions team can check your benefits and explain your costs before you start. You can call (855) 659-2310 or use our verification form.

Common signs include trying to cut back and not being able to, needing more to get the same effect, withdrawal symptoms when stopping, and drinking or drug use causing problems at work, at home or with health. If you notice several of these, an assessment can help you decide on the right level of care.

Common challenges include managing cravings and triggers, repairing relationships and trust, returning to steady work or school, handling stress without alcohol or drugs, and filling time that used to go to using. Aftercare, ongoing counseling and a clear relapse prevention plan make these easier to handle.

Most people attend IOP for eight to twelve weeks, three to four sessions a week, but the length depends on your progress rather than a fixed calendar. After IOP, treatment usually steps down to outpatient care and aftercare.
